Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reveals Joao Félix’s Move to AC Milan Took Just Five Minutes

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reveals Joao Félix’s Move to AC Milan Took Just Five Minutes

AC Milan Senior Advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that securing Joao Félix’s transfer from Chelsea was a swift and straightforward process, taking just five minutes to finalize.

The Portuguese forward, who struggled for consistent playing time under Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, joined Milan on loan for the remainder of the season during the January transfer window.

Speaking about the deal, Ibrahimovic, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, said:

“It took just five minutes to get João Félix’s loan deal done with Chelsea. Conceição wanted João, we spoke, and we decided to trust him for our project. It was a very fast negotiation.”

Félix’s Struggles and Fresh Start

Felix’s career has been a rollercoaster. After moving to Atletico Madrid from Benfica for a whopping €126 million in 2019, he failed to fully thrive under Diego Simeone’s rigid tactical system. A loan spell at Chelsea last season saw glimpses of his talent, but a lack of consistency meant the Blues opted not to make his stay permanent.

He then had a stint at Barcelona, where he showed flashes of brilliance but did not do enough to convince them to keep him long-term. Now, at AC Milan, he has yet another opportunity to revive his career and prove he belongs at the highest level.

Can Félix Shine in Milan?

With Milan trusting him as part of their project, Félix will need to make the most of this opportunity. His technical ability and creativity can add a different dimension to Milan’s attack, but whether he can finally fulfill his potential remains to be seen.

The ease of this transfer suggests Milan sees Félix as a low-risk, high-reward addition. If he impresses, the club may consider making the deal permanent. If not, it could be yet another short-lived chapter in his unpredictable career.

Do you think Félix will finally find his form at AC Milan, or is this just another stop in his football journey? Let’s hear your thoughts!
