Popular Big Brother Naija star, Deeone, has admitted to deliberately setting up social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) using the ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast, which eventually led to the dismissal of host Nedu Wazobia.

Speaking on the Breakfast Show on TVC, Deeone revealed that he orchestrated the entire scenario without Nedu’s knowledge, using the platform as a bait to expose VeryDarkMan.

“I Planned Everything Alone”

During his appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, Deeone accused VeryDarkMan of being sexually involved with men. In response, VDM took to Instagram to fire back, making damaging allegations against Nedu, accusing him of using his platform to exploit young entertainers.

This viral controversy ultimately led to Nedu’s sack from the show.

Deeone, however, has now expressed regret over Nedu’s fate, admitting that his main goal was to expose VeryDarkMan.

"I was the one who set a trap for VDM using Nedu. I planned the whole thing alone, but Nedu did not know. I had been studying VeryDarkMan for months; I wanted to know if he was real or just manipulating Nigerians."

He further added:

"Even Nedu is shocked. He wouldn’t have agreed if I had told him about it because I know he is VeryDarkMan’s friend. I didn’t know Nedu was going to lose his job. I feel really bad and sorry about that. I used Nedu as bait to get the fish, and it worked perfectly."
