Liverpool Extend Premier League Lead with Hard-Fought Win Over Wolves

Liverpool have restored their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League following a nervy 2-1 victory over Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds had seen their advantage cut to four points after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Leicester City on Saturday, but they responded with another crucial three points in the title race.

How Liverpool Got the Job Done

It was Luis Díaz who set the tone early, bundling home a cross in the 15th minute to give Liverpool the lead.

The hosts then doubled their advantage after Díaz was fouled inside the box, allowing Mohamed Salah to confidently dispatch a penalty down the middle.

However, the game took a tense turn when Matheus Cunha pulled one back for Wolves in the 67th minute, setting up a nervy finish. Despite the pressure, Arne Slot’s men held on to secure all three points.

Title Race Heating Up

With 13 games remaining, Liverpool are in pole position to reclaim the Premier League title, but they still have tough fixtures ahead, including a tricky visit to Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Arsenal remain determined in their chase, showing resilience in their late win over Leicester. With Manchester City still lurking, this title race could go down to the wire.

Do you think Liverpool can hold on to their lead, or will Arsenal or City find a way back into the race? Let’s discuss!
