Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that Liverpool are the clear favorites to win the 2024/25 Premier League title following their 2-1 victory over Wolves on Sunday.

The Reds’ win at Anfield restored their seven-point lead over Arsenal, who had briefly closed the gap with a 2-0 win over Leicester City the previous day.

Wenger’s Take on the Title Race

Speaking on beIN Sports, Wenger acknowledged Liverpool’s dominance and the difficult task ahead for his former club:

“It is simple, they [Liverpool] need to lose games. But we are 25 games in, and Liverpool have lost just one. So they have to lose at least three in the next 13 games, which looks unlikely.”

“Unless they collapse, but until now, they have lost just one game. So for now, they are the super favourites.”

“And on top of that, Arsenal have to make a perfect run. So I pray, but I have to improve the quality of my praying.”

Arsenal’s Uphill Battle

With just 13 matches remaining, Mikel Arteta’s side will need an extraordinary winning streak and hope for unexpected slip-ups from Arne Slot’s Liverpool to stand a chance at the title.
