Late Nigerian singer Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Aloba, has opened up about their love story, revealing that they first connected 12 years ago as teenagers on the popular social media app, 2Go.

In a recent interview with TVC, Omowunmi shared that their relationship started as friendship before blossoming into romance.

“I met him when I was 13 on 2Go. That was 12 years ago. I used to be a rapper, and he sang too, so we started as friends. We were very young then. He was 15. He proposed a relationship to me, and I accepted. We later got married and had a child together,” she said.

Lingering Controversy Over Mohbad’s Death

Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, and was hurriedly buried less than 24 hours later by his father, Joseph Aloba, in Ikorodu, Lagos State. However, due to growing suspicions surrounding his death, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.

Till now, the autopsy results remain pending, leaving fans and family in suspense. Additionally, Mohbad’s father has insisted that the singer’s body will not be reburied until the DNA test to determine the paternity of his grandson, Liam, is conducted.
