English Premier League side Newcastle United are reportedly targeting a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Boniface, who has been a key player for Bundesliga champions Leverkusen, is under contract until 2029, but the German club is open to letting him go for the right price.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle has already opened discussions with the Nigerian international’s representatives, signaling their strong interest in securing his services.

This isn’t the first big-money offer for Boniface. Last month, Saudi club Al Nassr tabled a €70 million bid for the 24-year-old but later withdrew, opting instead for Colombian and Aston Villa forward, Jhon Durán.

Since joining Leverkusen from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023, Boniface has been on fire, racking up 31 goals and 11 assists in 52 matches across all competitions. His performances have been crucial in Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga-winning campaign, making him one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.

With Newcastle’s attacking struggles this season, adding a powerful, clinical, and dynamic striker like Boniface could be a game-changer. His strength, finishing ability, and high work rate fit well into Eddie Howe’s system, and at just 24, he has plenty of room to grow.
