Monday Gift Nominated for Spanish Liga F Player of the Month

Super Falcons forward Monday Gift has been nominated for the Spanish Liga F Player of the Month for February following her outstanding performances for Tenerife.

The 23-year-old Nigerian forward scored two goals in three league games, finding the net in crucial away wins against Sevilla and Valencia. Monday has now netted 10 goals in 17 league appearances this season, making her one of the standout performers for Eder Maestre’s side. She currently sits third in the Liga F top scorer’s chart, trailing Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor (15 goals) and Granada’s Edna Imade (12 goals).

Tough Competition for the Award

Monday will battle for the Player of the Month title against top talents, including:
Alba Redondo (Real Madrid)
Caroline Hansen (Barcelona)
Ainhoa Marin (Deportivo La Coruña)
Ane Azkona (Athletic Club)
Ari Mingueza (Granada)
Elba Verges (Eibar)
