Tolanibaj Reflects on Her Life-Changing Move to Nigeria

Reality TV star and disc jockey, Tolani Shobajo, popularly known as Tolanibaj, has revealed that relocating to Nigeria from the United States was one of the best decisions of her life.

In a heartfelt post on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Tolanibaj shared how her decision to move back to Nigeria six years ago seemed uncertain at the time, but she followed her instincts and took the risk.

"Honestly, one of the best choices I ever made in life was relocating to Nigeria. I’m grateful to God for the timing of my move. The thought of moving didn’t make complete sense to me at the time, but it just felt right, and I took the risk. It’s been six interesting years, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Tolanibaj, born on October 20, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, first gained public attention when she participated in the Big Brother Naija 2020 reality show. Since then, she has built a name for herself in the entertainment industry, thriving as a disc jockey, influencer, and media personality.

Opinion: A Bold Move That Paid Off

Tolanibaj’s story is a testament to the power of taking risks and following one’s intuition. Many Nigerians in the diaspora often face the tough decision of staying abroad or returning home, especially in a country with economic and social challenges.

Her experience shows that opportunities exist in Nigeria, but success often comes with courage, resilience, and adaptability. While some may argue that relocating abroad offers better stability, her journey highlights that those willing to put in the work can carve out a successful path in Nigeria.

Her story serves as an inspiration for young Nigerians looking to take bold steps toward their dreams, whether at home or abroad. Ultimately, success is about timing, strategy, and persistence—and Tolanibaj’s journey is proof of that.
