"Benue Is Bleeding" – Skit Maker Koboko Leads Emotional Protest Against Killings, Calls Out President Tinubu

"Benue Is Bleeding" – Skit Maker Koboko Leads Emotional Protest Against Killings, Calls Out President Tinubu

Popular Nigerian skit maker and online comedian, Koboko, is no longer laughing — and neither are many Nigerians who have watched the violence in Benue State escalate with little to no resolution.

In a bold and emotionally charged protest, Koboko and his content team took to the streets under heavy rain to call out the Nigerian government, especially President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the spate of gruesome killings in Benue.

Protest for a Bleeding State

Carrying placards that read:

  • “Benue Is Bleeding”

  • “Is Benue Not Part of Nigeria?”

  • “#StopBenueKillings”

  • “May Tinubu Not Happen To Us In 2027”

…the team stood soaked but unwavering in their demand for accountability, justice, and protection for the people of Benue.

Koboko shared photos of the demonstration on X (formerly Twitter) with a firm caption:

“Tinubu has failed us.”

⚖️ A Nation’s Cry for Safety

Koboko didn’t mince words. He blamed Tinubu for failing in the fundamental responsibility of any government: protecting the lives and properties of its citizens. And as the death toll in Benue continues to rise, the silence or insufficient response from federal authorities has become deafening.

“We’re not just making skits,” Koboko told TalkTalk Nigeria, “we’re human beings first. What’s happening in Benue is heartbreaking. If we don’t speak, who will?”

🗣️ OPINION – When Laughter Gives Way to Pain

Koboko’s protest shows that entertainers are becoming conscience keepers, stepping beyond comedy to voice what many Nigerians feel but fear to say. This isn’t a publicity stunt. It’s a call for leadership in a time of national trauma.

The pain in Benue is not regional — it is a Nigerian tragedy. And if those in power remain silent, they risk losing not just votes in 2027 but the very trust of a generation.

🇳🇬 The Message Is Clear:

💔 Benue matters.
📢 Leadership must listen.
🗳️ 2027 will come — and Nigerians will remember.
