The Super Falcons of Nigeria have sent a loud and clear message to their WAFCON rivals with a dominant 5–0 demolition of Zambia’s Copper Queens to book their spot in the semi-finals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
From the first whistle, Nigeria took control, with Osinachi Ohale rising highest to nod in Esther Okoronkwo’s cross just two minutes into the match — a sign of what was to come.
Despite some resistance led by Zambia’s talismanic captain Barbara Banda, the Falcons kept their composure and turned on the style.
