WAFCON 2024 Final: Super Falcons Laser-Focused on Victory Over Morocco — Coach Madugu

WAFCON 2024 Final: Super Falcons Laser-Focused on Victory Over Morocco — Coach Madugu

Super Falcons head coach, Justin Madugu, has declared that his team is fully focused on defeating hosts Morocco in the highly anticipated 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final, set for Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

The clash will mark the fourth WAFCON finals meeting between both nations. Nigeria won the first two, but Morocco stunned the Falcons in their last encounter, edging them out 5-4 on penalties in the semi-final of the 2022 edition.

Determined to reclaim dominance, Madugu assured Nigerians that his players are locked in and hungry for gold.

“We thank God for making it to the final,” Madugu said.
“I want to assure you that we are not going to relent or take our eyes off the ball. Our focus is on lifting the trophy in Rabat on Friday.”

⚔️ A Battle of Redemption and Glory

Having battled past reigning champions South Africa with a 2-1 win in a thrilling semi-final, the nine-time WAFCON champions are eager to restore their continental supremacy. The showdown against Morocco is not just for the title—it’s personal revenge, and a chance to prove their consistency on African soil.

🔎 Opinion: All Eyes on Rabat

With the host nation’s passionate support and Nigeria’s legacy on the line, this match promises to be a classic final. The Super Falcons have shown grit, unity, and attacking flair throughout the tournament. If they remain disciplined and focused, a 10th WAFCON title could be within reach.
