Evangelist Mike Bamiloye Warns of Spiritual Dangers on Valentine’s Night

Renowned drama evangelist and founder of Mount Zion Drama Ministry, Mike Bamiloye, has issued a strong warning about the spiritual and physical dangers surrounding Valentine's Day celebrations.

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday, Bamiloye cautioned that many young people, particularly women, could fall victim to money rituals and spiritual covenants due to reckless engagements on Valentine’s night.

"Many would sleep on the same bed tonight with ghosts and spirits from demonic kingdoms who had come to make covenants and vows with the daughters and sons of men. Blood would flow tonight," he warned.

He further claimed that many men’s bodily fluids would be collected and submitted to evil shrines, while young girls could lose their destinies and fortunes in the process.

"Destinies, fortunes, and meaningfulness of life shall be polluted this evening. By tomorrow morning, many shall wake up empty, shallow, and light," he added.

Opinion: Faith, Fear, and the Reality of Valentine's Night

Bamiloye’s warning aligns with the concerns many religious leaders have about how Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Nigeria. Over time, the day, originally meant for love and affection, has been commercialized and often associated with reckless activities, including excessive partying, immorality, and, in extreme cases, ritual-related crimes.

While some may dismiss his message as extreme, there is some truth to the concern about young people being exploited under the guise of love. Every year, reports of missing persons, unfortunate incidents, and regrets surface after Valentine’s celebrations.

Rather than viewing Bamiloye’s message as just fear-mongering, it could serve as a wake-up call for people to approach relationships and special occasions with wisdom and caution. Love should be celebrated in a way that brings joy, not regrets.

What are your thoughts? Is his warning justified, or is it an overreaction?
