Portable's Emotional Plea: "I'm Not a Criminal, I Need Help"

Portable's Emotional Plea: "I'm Not a Criminal, I Need Help"

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has taken to social media in an emotional appeal, pleading for support amid his ongoing troubles with the authorities. The street-hop artist, known for his eccentric personality and outspoken nature, claims he is being unfairly targeted and set up.

In a series of videos posted on his Instagram page, Portable expressed deep frustration over the situation, insisting that he is neither a thief nor a killer but simply a musician striving to earn an honest living. He also alleged that unidentified individuals stormed his residence, ordering him to vacate, further intensifying his distress.

"Why always me?" he questioned in a pained tone. "I do music for a living. I’m not a thief, I don’t kill people. I wait for my blessing, and I bless others too. But people are always after me. Some people just came to my house, telling me to pack out. I’m not a criminal, but I’m afraid. I don’t want to be locked up. I am not feeling fine, and I’m going through pain all over my body."

His outburst follows an announcement by the Ogun State Police Command declaring him wanted, further escalating speculations surrounding his legal battles. While details about the case remain unclear, Portable insists that he has done nothing wrong and is a victim of intimidation.

Interestingly, the singer also revealed that he has been undergoing medical treatment for mental health challenges at Aro Hospital in Abeokuta. According to him, "I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients."

An Artist in Turmoil or a Troubled Genius?

Portable’s latest controversy adds to the long list of dramatic events that have shaped his career. While he has built a reputation for his energetic music and street credibility, his frequent run-ins with authorities and erratic public behavior often overshadow his talent.

His emotional plea raises an important question: Is Portable truly a victim of targeted attacks, or is his lifestyle catching up with him? His claims of being set up, coupled with his admission of battling mental health issues, suggest a deeper struggle beyond what meets the eye.

Regardless of public opinion, one thing is clear—Portable is a troubled man in need of help, whether from the law, his fans, or a structured support system. Rather than ridicule or dismiss his cries, perhaps a more constructive conversation should focus on the intersection of fame, mental health, and the consequences of unchecked controversies in the entertainment industry.

What’s Next for Portable?

As the situation unfolds, many are keen to see whether Portable can navigate his way out of this crisis or if it will become yet another chapter in his turbulent career. Will he find the support he desperately seeks, or will his past actions continue to haunt him?

For now, the embattled singer remains in a desperate fight to clear his name, but whether the public will stand by him or let him fade into the chaos of his controversies remains to be seen.
