Chelsea Announce Transfer Deals for Vale, Boniface, Sturge, and Akomeah
Chelsea have confirmed the departures of four players—Harvey Vale, Somto Boniface, Zak Sturge, and Travis Akomeah—on permanent and loan deals as part of their ongoing squad adjustments.
Official Transfers:
🔹 Harvey Vale – Permanent move to Queens Park Rangers (QPR). The 20-year-old, who signed his first professional contract in 2020, made two appearances for Chelsea this season under Enzo Maresca.
🔹 Somto Boniface – Permanent transfer to Ipswich Town. The young left-back, who joined Chelsea as an Under-9, progressed through the academy and played for both the U-18s and U-21s.
🔹 Travis Akomeah – Move to Watford. The defender returns to his former club after joining Chelsea as an Under-16.
🔹 Zak Sturge – Loan move to Millwall. Sturge, who joined Chelsea in August 2022, spent last season on loan at Peterborough United and will continue his development in the Championship.
The club’s latest transfer moves highlight their strategy of providing young talents with competitive game time to aid their development.
