Kada Warriors Reshuffle Management: A New Dawn for the NNL Side?
In a bid to steer Kada Warriors towards greater success, the Kaduna State government has unveiled a new management team for the Nigeria National League (NNL) side. The restructuring sees experienced football administrators and former players taking key positions, signaling a fresh direction for the club.
The newly constituted management will be led by Sadiq Mamman, while former Super Eagles defender Garba Lawal has been appointed as General Manager. Lawal, a veteran of Nigerian football, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having played at the highest levels, including the FIFA World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
In the technical department, Danlami Umar Kwasau takes charge as the new Chief Coach, supported by assistant coaches Yinka Salihu and Lawal Muhammad. Former Sunshine Stars goalkeeper Danladi Isah and Iliyasu Ozigi will handle goalkeeping duties, ensuring solid defensive foundations for the team.
The management team also includes several other key officials: Ibrahim M. Lagos, Saidu Dibis, Muhammad Baba, Labaran Hassan, Jibrin H. Haramaini, Bala Abdulkarim, Ahmadu Shuaibu, Zakari Isah Haruna, Teryima Sunday Tersoo, Abubakar Ya’u, and Lawal Umar, who will all contribute to the club’s overall development.
Can This New Leadership Spark a Turnaround?
Kada Warriors currently sit sixth in the league standings, having managed just six points from six matches in the first stanza. While not a disastrous start, it is far from the form required to push for promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
The appointment of a structured and experienced management team could be the game-changer the Warriors need. Garba Lawal’s leadership, combined with the expertise of the newly appointed coaching crew, could help instill discipline, strategy, and motivation in the squad.
However, football success isn’t just about strong management—it also requires commitment from the players, financial backing, and long-term planning. If the Warriors are serious about competing at the highest level, the new leadership must focus on squad improvement, youth development, and strategic gameplay.
A New Era or Another False Dawn?
Kada Warriors fans will be hoping this shake-up leads to real progress rather than just another administrative shuffle. The NNL is a tough league, and only teams with the right blend of talent, tactics, and stability can secure promotion.
With the new season unfolding, all eyes will be on how the Warriors respond to this fresh leadership. Will they rise through the ranks, or will it be another season of mid-table struggles? Time will tell, but one thing is certain—change is in the air at Kada Warriors.
